He signed a three-year deal with an option of a further two years when moving from Stellenbosch FC in July 2022.
"As a player, you play for better contracts and all that, but that is not where my focus is," responded Du Preez at the club's base on Monday morning when asked about his contract.
"I'm happy that the club renewed for two years, so I'm pleased and happy to be here for another two years.
"For that two years, what I want to achieve is… I want to score more goals.

"This is a big club Kaizer Chiefs, so my focus has always been here.
"I want to improve and help the team win as many games as we can and for me as a player to improve on scoring goals and help the team win," he says.
