Pirates cantered to a 3-1 victory over Chiefs in the Absa Premiership this past weekend.
The Sea Robbers, who notably fielded two strikers in the Soweto Derby, will meet Amakhosi again in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals this Saturday.
"They are mobile in that 4-3-3 formation and the team got more support and everything was spot on," Mothibi tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Kermit Erasmus is good player; he can drift in and can go wide and he combines well with other players.
"You know sometimes the Derby depends on how you woke up on the match day. If you woke up on the wrong side of the bed you are going to play badly, and Pirates were good value for that victory.
"Having said that, Tinkler should not change anything next week and he must start with the same formation, same players."
Tinkler's side will first visit Ajax Cape Town in the League on Wednesday night.
