Icons fuse fashion, football, & inclusivity

It was a star-studded affair at the Heineken All-Invitational exhibition match this past weekend as some of the best local and international men's and women's football stars arrived in neat fashion! Here's a look!

The story

Said to be the first of its kind five-a-side exhibition match on South African soil, the event had the likes of Teko Modise, Portia Modise, Andile Dlamini, Brian Baloyi, Luis Garcia, Clarence Seedorf, Lucas Radebe and Reneilwe Letsholonyane among others all on one pitch!

Inclusivity, Diversity, and Fashion

Held at the Gallagher Estate in Midrand, the occasion saw two inclusive and diverse teams face-off, as the Green Team gave the White Team a 10-4 drubbing. However, a key part of the event was also the fashion, as there seemed to be some apparel on sale as well include famous black-owned South African brand Drip.

Mamelodi Sundowns star Kermit Erasmus was also in attendance looking very stylish alongside other famed personalities such as Cassper Nyovest, Julia Stuart and Lunga Tshabalala to name a few.

The reactions

Banyana Banyana shot-stopper Dlamini reacted to the experience on Instagram. "Amazing experience Ashuuuuuu," she wrote.

"A wonderful way to celebrate inclusivity and diversity, entertainers, designers, fans, and the players of course - everyone was there to celebrate and break stereotypes!!!

"The best experience I have ever had, most exciting part was playing with and against the best legends and current players …

"Team B won. Angisho guys. We are the champions."

Your thoughts, please?

How brilliant was the idea of bringing stars and legends of all genders under one pitch?
