The transfer battle for the services of in-demand Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is intensifying, with Orlando Pirates refusing to give up in the race for his signature.
Mthetwa is being strongly linked with Kaizer Chiefs who have reportedly already tabled an R8 million bid.

Fellow Soweto giants Pirates are now believed to be refusing to give up on acquiring Mthethwa's services before the fast-approaching transfer deadline on Friday.
The Buccaneers have also recently released midfielder, Ben Motshwari to AmaZulu as they perhaps vacate midfielder space for Mthethwa.
"Pirates are back in the race and are implementing an aggressive strategy to sign the player from Stellenbosch," a source close to the deal tells KickOff.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch, in an attempt to wade off interest, are also reportedly aiming to table a contract extension to Mthetwa.
The 26-year-old's current deal with the Cape Winelands outfit is due to expire in June 2024.
While, Kaizer Chiefs sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jr is expected to travel to Cape Town imminently in the hopes of concluding a deal.
