Pirates player spotted at rival DStv Prem club

Recently released Orlando Pirates midfielder Collins Makgaka has been spotted taking part in first-team training sessions with DStv Premiership rivals Stellenbosch FC.

Makgaka recently became a free agent after finalising his departure from the Buccaneers at the end of the previous campaign.

The 27-year-old is believed to be hard at work at Stellenbosch while currently undergoing assessment under the watchful eye of head coach Steve Barker.

Last season the midfielder made just four appearances for the Soweto giants before the two parties decided to part ways by mutual agreement.

"Yes, Makgaka is with Stellenbosch with the coach a big fan, though negotiations have not yet begun," a source close to the player tells KickOff.

The Cape Winelands club have recently been active in the transfer market with the blockbuster departure of Junior Mendieta alongside the additions of Basil Mphahlele, Oscarine Masuluke and defender Ismael Olivier Toure.
