Despite somewhat of a revival, SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt believes the current squad is still far off from his Absa Premiership winning side.
After a poor start to the season that saw Matsatsantsa collect just one win inn their first five games and suffer shock losses against AmaZulu and TS Galaxy, Gavin Hunt was able to steady the ship and guided the Pretoria-based outfit to a top three position by the midway stage of the DStv Premiership season.
Of course Hunt is no stranger to building successful teams, having won the Absa Premiership title for three consecutive seasons with SuperSport between 2009 and 201 before lifting it again with Wits.

The veteran coach, however, has poured cold water over comparisons between his Absa Premiership wining side and his current DStv Premiership side.
"We need to just be - we've won one, two three games, that's it. Lets' be good over 30 games," said Hunt.
"That's what I've said to them [SuperSport United players], that we can't get ahead of ourselves. We're still nowhere near the teams that we had here before in terms of everything: quality, mentality. we're a long way from that.
"But we can build that in and winning games does help, I don't care what anybody says, winning games does help."
SuperSport went into the FIFA break with just one loss from their last five outings and will be looking collect more points when they lock horns with Marumo Gallants on Friday, 30 December.
