Supporters Forum: SuperSport Utd fan Kamo 13

In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to SuperSport United fan Kamogelo 'Kamo 13' Peta about her long-standing affair with Matsatsantsa.

The Atteridgeville-based Kamo 13 is concerned with the number of youngsters the club is bringing into the first team these days.

Name of supporter?

"I'm Kamogelo Peta, better known as Kamo 13. The 13 represents my date of birth, and also it was inspired by my all-time favorite player Thuso Phala.

"I'm currently self-employed, selling colognes and lotions."

Club supported?

"SuperSport United."

How long have you supported the club?

"I've been supporting SuperSport since 2005. That year they had top players, they were really on fire.

"At the time I was 10 years old. That's when my father who is also a SuperSport United supporter used to take me to stadiums to watch the team play.

"So I've been supporting SuperSport for about 18 to 20 years now."

Are you happy with the management?

"Yes I'm happy with the bosses but I feel like we're promoting development players too much.

"I feel like this is not something we should be doing at this stage, we should be chasing domestic cups, we are competing in Africa and we need wins.

"Selling our best players to other clubs has cost us. Going back to the development side and trying to find replacements is time-consuming.

"Siphesihle Ndlovu's injury has cost us a lot, but he is back now and we are winning."

Are you happy with the coach?

"Oh yes, Gavin Hunt is doing a great job, ever since he came back, he's done a great job."

Are you happy with the players?

"Very happy."

Who do you want them to sign?

"We need strikers like Gabadinho Mhango. That player would be good for us. That guy is quality.

"We need people who are fast-moving when we go forward."

Your message to the team?

"To my team, to the CEO, to the technical team, to the coaches, we are really behind them in good times and in bad times.

"In this first season they must be safe and drive safely. They must come back in good condition on Saturday against Orlando Pirates at Peter Mokaba Stadium."
