African star dies in China

In very tragic and sad news, a Gabonese footballer has allegedly passed away in China after falling from a 11 storey building.

Reports surfaced on Wednesday indicating that Aaron Boupendza, who currently was playing for Chinese club Zhejiang FC, died after falling from the 11th floor of his apartment.

It is reported that the Gabon international died in the presence of his brother, with reports stating that the two had an argument prior to the player's death.

Boupendza, who was 28 years old at the time of his death, showcased his talent in football across countries such as France, Qatar, Romania, and Türkiye amongst others.

The striker received 26 caps for the Gabon senior national team since 2016 and was once regarded as one of the key players for the Panthers.

It is reported that officials in China have initiated an investigation into the incident, exploring several possibilities including suicide and an accidental fall.
