Al Ahly have now reportedly made a big decision on Percy Tau, shedding some light on his future at the club.
The South African attacker has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, with interest believed to have come from various clubs in the Middle East as well as Africa.

The Egyptian giants, meanwhile, are thought to have been set on the idea of allowing the 30-year-old to depart the club as head coach Marcel Koller wanted to replace him with another foreign player who would strengthen the squad.
However, Tau is understood to have been against a move away from Cairo and, instead, had been fighting to be paid out for the remainder of his contract before agreeing to leave the Red Devils.
Now, it appears Ahly have drawn a line in the sand regarding the player's future with them, according to Egyptian news site Youm7.
It is claimed the possibility of an exit for the South African has now been closed, and that he will spend the year that he has left on his contract at the Cairo-based outfit.
Not only that, but the decision has also been made to register the Bafana Bafana forward to compete in the 2024/25 edition of the CAF Champions League as the north African giants look to defend their title.
New signings Yahia Attiyat Allah, Yousef Aymen and Achraf Dari are also believed to have been registered for the upcoming continental campaign, while another player who has been linked with a move away from the team, Reda Slim, had also been included.
