Al Ahly's sporting director, Mohamed Ramadan, is reportedly set to meet with Percy Tau's representatives to negotiate the terms of the South African star's potential contract termination.
The discussions, suggested to take place after the team's trip to South Africa to face Orlando Pirates, form part of the club's strategy to free up a slot for a foreign player ahead of the January transfer window, according to Ngm Algmahir.

Tau, who is in the final year of his contract with the Cairo giants, has been linked with an exit since the conclusion of last season.
However, negotiations have reportedly hit a stumbling block, with Al Ahly claimed to have offered the player $300 000 (R5.4million) as part of a mutual termination agreement.
Although, the attacker is suggested to be unwilling to accept anything less than the full value of his $600 000 (R10.8 million) deal.
This is said to have delayed Al Ahly's plans to part ways with the 30-year-old, who is believed to be holding out for his contractual dues before agreeing to terminate his agreement.
While reports have linked Tau with a shock move to rivals Zamalek, board member Ahmed Suleiman has dismissed the rumours, confirming that no formal talks have been held between the player and the White Knights.
Meanwhile, it has been said that the club is optimistic about reaching a mutual agreement with the player's representatives in the coming days, aiming for an amicable resolution to pave the way for a new foreign player to join their ranks.
