Al Ahly star given 'green light' for Saudi move

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller has reportedly given the green light for one of his stars to move the Saudi Pro League.

The transfer window in Europe closed last week, but the Saudi Pro League window remains open until 12 September 2024.

Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim has been the subject of interest from the Saudi Arabian top-flight in recent weeks.

Kooora have now reported that Al-Hazem want to sign the Egyptian forward on a season-long loan to bolster their attack.

It is believed coach Koller has no problem with Kahraba leaving the club and has given his blessing for the move.

The 30-year-old attacker registered 14 goals and six assists in 37 appearances this past campaign, helping the team win the CAF Champions League and Egyptian Premier League.

The report from Kooora added that Koller is looking to sign a new striker ahead of the new season, as Taher Mohamed has been tested in that position in the last few games.

Al Ahly have already bid farewell to Mohamed Abdelmonem, Aliou Deng, Ahmed Abdelkader (loan) and Anthony Modeste.
