A former Zamalek SC star has now claimed that the Egyptian club has Pitso Mosimane in their plans.
Mosimane recently severed ties with Iranian club Esteghlal FC after the two parties were involved in a bitter dispute over unpaid wages.

While Mosimane's time in Iran lasted just over two months, his job prospects do not seem to have diminished, as he is now linked with a new role in Egypt.
The South African tactician previously managed Al Ahly between 2020 and 2022, where he won six trophies, including two CAF Champions League titles.
A sensational return to Egypt almost three years later is now being mooted, with his former rivals Zamalek said to be considering his appointment.
Retired Egyptian footballer Ahmed Dowidar, who was contracted to Zamalek between 2014 and 2017, suggests that Mosimane could replace the club's current manager, Christian Gross.
According to Korabia.net, Dowidar said during a radio broadcast; "Zamalek has South African coach Pitso Mosimane in its plans to manage the team, in case a decision is made to part ways with Swiss coach Christian Gross.
"Pitso Mosimane is a top-class coach and would be a great addition to Zamalek if he is officially appointed."
The current Zamalek boss, Gross, is reportedly facing growing pressure at the club due to inconsistent results and performances.
It is also reported that there have been disagreements between Gross and the Zamalek management over the team's recruitment during the recent transfer window.
Furthermore, reports suggest that, in addition to Mosimane, Zamalek are also considering the appointment of José Gomes and Rogério Micale.
