A European club is reportedly on the verge of sending an offer for an Al Ahly star, with the side said to be desperate to get their hands on the African international.
With Ahly having already parted ways with three players in this window, a fourth departure may be on the horizon.

In the current off-season, the Egyptian giants have released French striker Anthony Modeste after just one season in Cairo, and have also sanctioned loan exits for Tunisian winger Cristo and Mali international Aliou Dieng.
Moreover, a number of their other players have been linked with a departure, including Percy Tau and defender Mohamed Abdelmonem.
According to L'Equipe, French club Nice are now keen to sign the latter, as a replacement for outgoing star Jean-Clair Todibo.
It is claimed the Ligue 1 side is thus "desperate" for the transfer to be completed as quickly as possible, and are set to send a first bid for the Pharaohs star to the Club of the Century.
Abdelmonem is in demand in other parts of Europe too, with Italian team Bologna also reportedly keen on signing him as Riccardo Calafiori's replacement following his big move to Arsenal last week.
Nice, on the other hand, are expected to lose Todibo, who finds himself in the middle of a tug-of-war between Juventus and West Ham United, although the latter club has reportedly already reached an agreement to sign the Frenchman for a fee of €36 million (R707 million).
Abdelmonem will be out of contract in June 2025, but it remains unclear whether or not Al Ahly are willing to cash in on the player as he been an integral part of Marcel Koller's squad with 115 appearances for the club since joining in January 2022.
Nice, who are owned by petrochemical giant INEOS, have already confirmed three signings in this window, namely Jonathan Clauss, Morgan Sanson, and Tanguy Ndombele.

Notably, INEOS also have minority stake in Manchester United after they bought a 27.7% share of the club in February this year.
