He may, however, not reflect on his time at Yanga with complete positivity due to a payment dispute that arose during his time at the club.
The dispute was later escalated and has almost been settled, with the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber having reportedly ruled in favour of the 31-year-old.
The Tanzanian Premier League outfit have been instructed to pay the player the $24 400 (about R418 000) that was initially owed to the player, according to GHANAsoccernet.
In addition to that instruction, Yanga have been fined an amount of $3 000 (about R51 400), which has to be paid within a period of 30 days.
It is said the side could be sanctioned further, and would be at risk of being unable to register new player for three transfer windows if they fail to carry out the orders of the ruling.
Manager Miguel Gamondi, meanwhile, will be hoping the club's off-field issues does not affect their form on the pitch.
Yanga have been in sparkling touch, emerging victorious from their first two league games of the new campaign.
They have also progressed from the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League to qualify for the group stage.
They were able to do so by thumping Burundi's Vital'O FC by a whopping 10-0 on aggregate, before beating Ethiopian outfit CBE SA 7-0 across two legs.
