An Al Ahly chief has reportedly made some particular requests of Percy Tau during an emergency meeting between the pair.
The player is currently in the last year of his contract with the Egyptian giants, but despite not leaving the club before the start of the current campaign – there was said to be interest in him from clubs in the Middle East, Africa and Europe – the South African attacker's future still looks to be uncertain.

As such, Red Devils sporting director Mohamed Ramadan is believed to have held a meeting with the former Brighton Hove Albion star, and a new contract was not part of the discussion.
According to El Balad, the club executive instead requested that the 30-year-old not object to whatever decision the coaching staff makes in terms of his selection and participation in matches.
It is further claimed that Ramadan asked the Bafana Bafana star to adhere to all the instructions given to him by coaches "during the next stage".
Tau will be able to sign pre-contractual agreements with other clubs from January if the Red Devils do not renew his deal.
The possibility of a renewal is said to have been "ignored" by the sporting director during his meeting with Tau.
It has been suggested that Ramadan, along with the side's planning committee, has left the forward's future in Cairo to be determined by head coach Marcel Koller.
However, according to Al Ahly CEO Amir Tawfik, the coach is "convinced" of the player's abilities.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star made a bright start to the 2024/25 campaign, netting a brace in the first leg of his side's CAF Champions League second preliminary round tie against Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia.
