Wydad are no different, as the Moroccan giants have endured a middling start to the season, sitting 15 points away from the top of the Botola Pro 1 standings after 16 games.
It is understood that Mokwena is eager to bring in quality reinforcements, and the club are now said to be just a whisker away from completing an important deal.
According to Yalla Shoot, Wydad are close to signing Moroccan star Fahd Moufi from Hajduk Split in the Croatian top flight.
The French-born player operates in the right-back position.
Moufi has never played in Morocco before, as his career began in the youth ranks of Olympique Lyon in France before spells in Portugal and Croatia.
The 28-year-old has already made 10 appearances this season but has missed the bulk of his club's matches, sitting on the bench, according to Transfermarkt.
The player seems to have fallen out of favour with his manager in Croatia, as his last league outing came on 9 November, despite not being injured.
