Rulani Mokwena's side, Wydad Athletic Club, are reportedly plotting a January transfer for an Al Ahly star.
According to Transfermarkt, the Moroccan giants have signed at least 20 players during the most recent transfer window, including a loan deal for Cassius Mailula from Toronto FC.
But despite the long list of reinforcements brought into the club, Wydad have endured a middling start to the 2024/25 Botola Pro 1, as they currently sit fifth on the standings with four wins from their opening nine games.

This has led to some frustration from fans, as Mokwena and his players were pelted with objects by their supporters after their defeat to RS Berkane on 27 October.
It was then reported that the South African could get sacked if performances do not improve, but the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss made a public call for patience.
Moreover, it was reported that he asked the Wydad president, Hicham Ait Menna, to sanction the exits of seven players and replace them with three top-quality players in the next window.
As such, Mokwena's reported demands appear to have been heard by the head of the club, with WinWin.com now claiming that Ait Menna has given the green light to sign Al Ahly star Reda Slim.
The Moroccan player is currently out of favour at the Egyptian giants, as coach Marcel Koller has limited the attacker to just four substitute appearances this season, equating to a measly combined total of just 90 minutes played in all competitions so far, as per Transfermarkt.
The report also claims that Wydad want to sign Slim on loan in January, with the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the proposed interim spell.
It is also said that the 25-year-old, as well as his teammate Percy Tau, refused to celebrate Al Ahly's recent FIFA Intercontinental Cup win over Al Ain due to the fact that they were kept on the bench.
However, Al Ahly decided not to impose financial sanctions on them for their refusal to join the celebrations, as the Red Devils management were more eager to keep tensions calm.
