Following Herve Renard's claims that he withdrew from the Senegal job, the president of the country's football federation has denied receiving any application from the French manager.
Renard recently claimed that he had the opportunity to become the next Senegal head coach, but he pulled out of the race due to a certain condition that could not be met.

The 56-year-old said that he opted not to proceed with his application after he realised that he would be unable to choose his own assistant coach, who is the current Amiens SC boss, Omar Daf.
However, it now appears that Renard's recent comments have landed at the Senegalese Football Federation's (FSF) doorstep, with the president of the organisation, Augustin Senghor, now refuting the Frenchman's claims that he applied for the job.
"It is the executive committee that is in charge of finding a replacement for Aliou Cissé," Senghor told Cible Sports TV.
"And we have decided to complete the AFCON 2025 qualifiers with the technical staff that he left.
"We have not yet touched the file of Aliou Cissé's successor. I do not know where Hervé Renard submitted his application, but it is not with me.
"And I think that if my administration, or my Comex, had received his request, I would have been informed.
"We have not received an application file so far."
Ultimately, Renard's attention will be on his new job as the Saudi Arabia national team coach for a second spell.
His first task since his return will be two important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Australia at home and Indonesia away.
