This comes after the Green Eagles' decision to part ways with Bosnian boss Rusmir Cviko late last month – a short stint that saw took him take charge of just six matches.
However, an unnamed club executive is believed to have denied that the club were in negotiations with the former Al Ahly manager.
Now, according to LeSiteInfo, the Botola Pro 1 side refused to enter discussions with Mosimane due to his high financial demands, which has been described as "impossible" for Raja to agree to.
It has been suggested that club president Adil Hala was offered the opportunity to bring the tactician to the club, but he quickly refused the proposition before any need to enter into discussions with the coach's representatives.
The Moroccan news site cited a source, who claimed that the Green Eagles were deterred by the monthly salary the 60-year-old would demand, as well as terms related to his technical staff.
The club has also been linked to former Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic, but are now believed to be closing in on ex-LALIGA manager Pablo Machín, with it being reported that negotiations have reached an advance stage.
