Following Siyabonga Ngezana's performance in a recent UEFA Champions League qualifier, the ex-Kaizer Chiefs star has been the recipient of some serious praise.
FCSB were held to a 1-1 draw by Sparta Prague in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie on Tuesday night as both sides chase the opportunity to participate in the next edition of the esteemed continental competition.

In that game, Ngezana was paired at centre-back with Cameroon defender Joyskim Dawa, which was also the case for both legs of their second qualifying round fixture, where the side beat Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv FC 2-1 on aggregate.
The duo seem to have formed a formidable partnership in the Romanian club's backline, and have received much praise from former SuperLiga manager Marius Sumudica.
"He [Dawa] and Ngezana are two players who are indispensable to FCSB," the tactician said following the match against Sparta, per Romanian news site Digi Sport.
"Plus Dawa has controlled attacks, started to win; anticipate.
"Together with Ngezana, they are the best central defenders in Romania."
Ngezana arrived at FCSB from Kaizer Chiefs in July last year and has already managed to win the SuperLiga title, as well as the Romanian Super Cup, making 31 appearances across all competitions as he helped his side to the two trophies last season.
With seven appearances already under his belt for the 2024/25 campaign, the South African centre-back will be hopeful of maintaining his momentum and helping the side defend their status as domestic champions.

Dawa, meanwhile, is believed to be a doubt for the second-leg encounter against Sparta due to injury.
As such, Sumudica expressed his belief that 34-year-old centre-back Vlad Chiriches, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur, should partner Ngezana at the heart of defence if necessary.
"But here you need the experience of Chiriches. Chiriches is a player who, even if he still wants to play, he knows the game very well," the 53-year-old added.
