Fabrizio Romano has reported that Boateng and the Bavarians are in advanced talks and could complete a deal within in the next 48 hours.
Boateng will provide some cover for Thomas Tuchel in the defensive area after they failed to replace Benjamin Pavard, who joined Inter Milan on the final day of the transfer window.
Boateng is a club legend after spending ten years with the club and winning numerous trophies, including nine Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League crowns.
