Hat-trick hero Kane helps Bayern net seven

Harry Kane bagged a hat-trick and two assists as Bayern Munich thumped VfL Bochum 7-0 thumping in Bundesliga action on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Thomas Tuchel recalled defender Matthijs De Ligt for his first start of the season, with Noussair Mazraoui, Kingsley Coman and Eric Choupo-Moting the other changes.

Choupo-Moting had the champions off to a strong start four minutes in the match when he tapped in a cutback from Coman after founding space in the area.

England international Harry Kane added to the Bavarians equation nine minutes later after getting on the end of Alphonso Davies' telling run before finishing from ten yards.

The returning De Ligt justified his recall a minute past the half-hour mark where his towering presence in the area allowed him to head home a corner from Joshua Kimmich.

Noah Loosli came on for Felix Passlack before Philipp Hofmann entered ahead of Maximilian Wittek in a double change for the visitors ten minutes to halftime.

Bayern though showed no mercy and added a fourth after a through pass from Kane released Leroy Sane and saw the winger surged past the defence to find the net.

Despite putting on a pleasing display, De Ligt was withdrawn following the start of the second half and witnessed fellow defender Dayot Upamecano come on.

However, the change didn't affect the home team's momentum and saw them make it five with a spot-kick from Kane after a hand-ball in the area following Choupo-Moting's effort.

Bayern continued to enjoy the lion share of chances and got a sixth through a well-taken finish from Mathys Tel, who also scored in the midweek over Manchester United.

The Bavarians rounded off the clash with two minutes to go as Kane latched in a nicely placed delivery to see the host record an emphatic victory.
