Bayern Munich 1-2 Hoffenheim Bayern Munich lost their first game of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season following a 2-1 defeat to Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena. Sargis Adamyan finally broke the deadlock for the visitors nine minutes after the break but Bayern levelled matters in the 73rd minute courtesy of Robert Lewandowski. However, Adamyan snatched the winner for Hoffeinheim with 11 minutes remaining to complete his brace and hand the Bavarians their first loss of the campaign. Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 RB Leipzig RB Leipzig were denied the chance to regain top spot in the Bundesliga table after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon at Bay Arena. After a goalless first stanza, Kevin Volland eventually broke the deadlock for Bayer in the 66th minute but Christopher Nkunku levelled matters for Leipzig for the share of the spoils in the end. Freiburg 2-2 Borussia Dortmund Borussia Dortmund suffered a late own goal as they played to a 2-2 draw with Freiburg at Schwarzwald-Stadion. Alex Witsel got the opener for Dortmund in the 20th minute but Gian-Luca Waldschmidt equalised for Freiburg ten minutes after the break. Achraf Hakimi restored the lead for BvB in the 67th minute but the visitors conceded a late own goal through Manuel Akanji in the last minute. Paderborn 1-2 Mainz Mainz claimed their victory of the season after edging struggling Paderborn 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Benterler Arena. Robin Quaison grabbed an early lead for the visitors in the eighth minute but Paderborn hit back in the 14th minute thanks to Ben Zolinski. Mainz restored their lead in the 32nd minute through Daniel Brosinski, who netted from the penalty spot and that proved to be the winner.
