Tuchel 'agrees deal' with UCL giants

Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is said to have agreed a deal to join one of the biggest clubs in world football.

The German has been linked with various positions since he was sacked by Chelsea back in September 2022 after just seven games into the 2022/23 season.

Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and more recently, Tottenham Hotspur are some of the clubs who have considered moving for the tactician so far, according to reports.

However, it has now emerged that he has finally accepted an offer and his return to the dugout is now imminent.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, following an internal meeting on Thursday evening, the Bayern Munich board have decided to replace manager Julian Nagelsmann with Tuchel in the hot seat.

It is said that, although the former is yet to receive any formal communication from the Bavarian side about the decision, the latter has already accepted the job and is ready to sign, as documents are being prepared.

It is believed that an official announcement will be made later on Friday, while Bayern's on-loan full-back Joao Cancelo weighing in on the German giants' apparent decision after Portugal's 4-0 win over Liechtenstein in their UEFA European Championship qualifiers on Thursday night.

"I've only found out now," he said, according to the Mirror.

"I know I won't find Nagelsmann when I return to Munich. He wanted me at Bayern, I'd like to thank him.

"As for Tuchel, he made me lose a Champions League final, so I hope he will win it for me this year!"
