Brazil have now confirmed its decision on the future of national team coach Dorival Junior after the side's 2024 Copa America exit.
Brazil were dumped out of the Copa America by Uruguay on Sunday after going down 4-2 on penalties.
Their elimination, however, marks a rather underwhelming display at the tournament as the Selecao had only won one group stage match heading into their fateful quarter-final clash against Uruguay.

Although there were some doubts cast over Dorival Junior's future, Brazil football federation president Ednaldo Rodrigues confirmed that they will continue with the 62-year-old, who was only appointed in January 2024.
"In two months, we have the World Cup qualifying rounds, and the plan is to continue [with Dorival]," he told ESPN Brasil.
"This is a World Cup cycle, and he and his coaching staff understand what needs to be fixed. Dorival is aware of what went wrong. This is how a winning team is built."

Dorival Junior said he takes full responsibility for South American giant's elimination from the Copa America, a competition they last won in 2019.
"This type of work requires a great amount of patience," said Dorival.
"I do have to acknowledge that these weren't the expected results, and I take full responsibility for them, but I do think as well that this team has great room to grow and evolve and improve."
He added: "This is a process; in general, you come across difficulties when you're creating a team.
"This was our first official tournament, and the result was far from what was expected... our main objective now is to qualify for the World Cup."
