Klopp's next job revealed?

Following his emotional farewell to Liverpool on the weekend, new speculation suggests that Jurgen Klopp's next job may already be lined up.

The German tactician waved a heartfelt goodbye to Anfield after his side beat Wolverhampton Wanderers by two goals to nil on Sunday.

The 56-year-old ended his last season in charge of the Reds with a Carabao Cup and a third-place finish in the Premier League.

While his next venture is yet to be known, Klopp confirmed – when he announced his departure in January – that he "will find something else to do. But I will not manage a club or country for at least a year".

Before taking over as Liverpool manager, the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winner was at the helm of Borussia Dortmund.

Now, according to former England striker Gary Lineker, the coach could return to die Schwarzgelben but in a different capacity.

"I will be interested to see what Jurgen Klopp does next. I think he will definitely take some time out because I think he's genuine when he says he has run out of energy. You can see why that job is so demanding," Linker stated on his The Rest Is Football podcast.

"There will be a battle for him in a year's time. Or they'll be lining up for a year or so's time.

"I heard a little rumour that he might end up being president of Borussia Dortmund, which would be amazing."

The Merseyside club, meanwhile, has announced that Dutch tactician Arne Slot has agreed a deal to become the Reds' new head coach, and will formally take up the position at the beginning of June, subject to a work permit.
