Furious Haaland in hot water after Man City drop points again?

Erling Haaland could reportedly be in hot water after Manchester City dropped points once again over the weekend.

The Norwegian could face punishment by the FA after his aggrieved reaction to a late decision by referee Simon Hooper during the Citizens' 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, according to the Daily Star

Strikes from Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, as well as an own goal from Heung-min Son, were not enough for the Manchester side to walk away with all three points as the Lilywhites' comeback prevented them from sustaining second spot on the table, causing Pep Guardiola and his men to slip down to third position.

However, some believe the encounter could have ended differently if Hooper had allowed play to go on when Grealish was played in behind the Spurs defence by Haaland.

Before putting the England international through on goal, the striker was fouled in the build-up of the move, but the referee initially waved play on before changing his mind and bringing play back.

The forward was enraged by the decision and was seen screaming in the official's face When the final whistle blew, Hooper was surrounded by a sea of City players, including a furious Haaland, who afterwards stormed down the tunnel.

He then took to Twitter to repost a video of the incident, captioning it "wtf", which some believe is "sure" to bring about a "misconduct charge" by the FA.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola admitted to being surprised by the match official's decision.

"I make mistakes, the players make mistakes," the City boss told the club's official website.

"It surprised me that in the moment when Erling goes down in the action from [Ben] Davies it was fine but in the right moment he stand up and the referee make the gesture to play on.

"After he made the pass, he [the referee] stopped the game. I don't want to criticise them.

"In the touchline sometimes I lose my mind, my gesture was not proper. As a manager, I am not the guy when I am refreshed to comment.

"We didn't draw because of that. They are happy, we are a little bit less happy."
