Hazard linked with surprise return to Premier League

Former Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has been linked with a surprise return to the Premier League.

The Belgian attacker has been a free agent since parting ways with Los Blancos at the end of last season, ending a nightmare three-year spell in the Spanish capital.

The 32-year-old is now a free agent but has been linked with moves to Saudi Pro League, Premier League and Major League Soccer in recent months.

After a disappointing spell in the Spanish capital, there have been reports about the Belgian possibly hanging up boots due to injury problems that affected his time at Madrid.

However, Football Transfers have reported that English side Crystal Palace are willing to take a chance on the former Chelsea star this season.

Palace has lost the services of star man Wilfried Zaha who joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on a free transfer last month and the Eagles have yet to find a replacement.

The reports adds that Palace chairman Steve Parish would be happy to bring Hazard due to the commercial aspect while manager Roy Hodgson would be interested due to his ability on the pitch, which would bolster their attack.

The deal is believed to be a pay-as-you-play structure due to the Belgian's injury troubles in the last three years.

Hazard is also no stranger to the Premier League, having racked up 245 appearances for Chelsea where he also won two league titles.
