He joins the Londoners on a reported long-term deal following a €12 million (R217 million) switch from Norway, having completed all medical tests in London on Thursday.

Fofana signs off the back of an impressive season in Scandinavia, where he scored 15 goals and made five assists in 24 games in the Eliteserien in 2022, a feat that saw him linked with a move to Brighton and Hove Albion too.

According to the Evening Standard, Graham Potter's side is also closing in on the signing of Brazilian teenager Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama.
