Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly eyeing up a move for an African star amid an underwhelming campaign.
City's recent 2-0 victory over Leicester City marked only their second win in their last ten league outings. While the win lifted them to fifth on the table, they remain a daunting 14 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Guardiola has openly admitted that the title race is out of reach and emphasised the need for reinforcements.
According to The Sun, the Citizens have identified Ola Aina as a long-term replacement for 34-year-old Kyle Walker.
The 28-year-old has been one of Forest's standout players since joining on a free transfer in 2023, earning praise for his versatility and consistent displays on both flanks.
Over the past 18 months, he has racked up 41 appearances for Forest, contributing four goals and assists combined.
His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively is said to have caught the attention of City's scouting team, who view him as an ideal fit for Guardiola's dynamic tactical system.
Walker has been instrumental to City's success over the past seven years. However, it has been claimed that Guardiola is eager to find a replacement who can bring renewed energy and versatility to his backline.
Aina's skillset, including his proficiency on both the right and left sides of defence, is understood to make him a prime candidate.

Reports further suggest that City may look to secure Aina's services when his contract expires at the end of the season.
