Saudi giants to sign Chelsea star after Ronaldo?

Al-Nassr are reportedly aiming to sign a certain Chelsea star while they continue their pursuit of free agent Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is currently without a club after parting ways with Manchester United last month, but there reportedly haven't been a lot of top European sides interested.

However, a number reports this past week claimed the Saudi Arabian outfit are closing in on a move for the 37-year-old forward, who only scored three goals for United in the first half of the campaign.

Ronaldo could be joined in Saudi Arabia by Chelsea and France star N'Golo Kante who has now emerged as a potential transfer target, according to French publications Foot Mercato and Get French Football News.

The big-money Saudi outfit are looking to sign the 2018 World Cup winner on a free transfer when his contract with the Blues expires at the end of the current season.

The report adds that while the French midfield is happy to stay in London with Chelsea, he would not be opposed to making the switch to Al-Nassr as he keeps options open.

Blues manager Graham Potter revealed this week that he's only focus is to get Kante fit, with the player set to return in February.

"He will be a while, end of Feb, start of March. It was a surgery, so it is a minimum period of four months pretty much," Potter said, as per Daily Mail.

"I think my focus is to help him get back fit as soon as possible, everyone knows the quality he has.

"That is not in question, but it is about helping him get fit and back on the pitch, and looking forward to seeing him back playing football as we haven't seen him."
