Sterling set for sensational Chelsea exit? Agent responds

With shock reports suggesting Raheem Sterling could leave Chelsea for one of their biggest rivals just months after joining the Blues, his agent has now responded to the speculation.

Earlier this week, the former Manchester City star was linked with a surprise move to Arsenal.

It was said that Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of Sterling, having worked with the England winger at the Manchester club, and that he wanted to reunite with the player at the Emirates.

The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge since making the switch to London in July 2022, with the Blues having signed a number of competing forwards in the past two transfer windows.

While Sterling returned to the starting XI on Sunday, in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the emergence of Noni Madueke, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Joao Felix has led to talk the Jamaica-born star is not happy at Chelsea.

His agent Kelly Hogarth, however, has now dismissed claims the winger is set for an exit from the Blues.

"Sterling has expressed no discontent with Chelsea and having committed his long-term future to the new ownership this summer, there is to be no review of his position in the upcoming transfer window," she said, per the Metro.

"He very much looks forward to building upon the success of previous seasons."
