Beppe Marotta: Patrice Evra may leave Juventus

Speculation suggesting a return to Old Trafford as a player coach has intensified over the past week, while Valencia has also been mooted as a possible destination for the 35-year-old fullback.

The possible move has been prompted by his lack of game-time this season, having only featured for 247 minutes in Massimo Allegri's side since penning a new one-year contract in the off-season.

Nonetheless, Marotta explained before the Bologna match that the France international was left out of the match-day squad with the intention of sorting out his immediate future with the club.

"Evra is still with us. He was not called up by mutual agreement, as he is considering his future," he told Mediaset Premium.

"It's only right he's taking a moment to reflect, as his contract will expire in June, he is 35-years-old going towards 36. We'll see next week.

"I don't think we need to find a replacement, as we have internal options like Kwadwo Asamoah and Federico Mattiello."
