The first FC Barcelona star has spoken out about Dani Alves' January arrest over an alleged rape.
Alves remains behinds bars after he was apprehended by Spanish police little over two months ago after he was accused of raping a woman in a bathroom of a Barcelona night club.
The incident is said to have taken place in December 2022 and a few witnesses have already come forward to corroborate the alleged victim's claims. The fullback initially denied these allegations, but later said that his involvement with the woman was consensual.
Alves has since been denied bail twice, with the court deeming him a flight risk if he is released pending the announcement of his trial date.

Many active footballers have remained quiet on the issue, including Barca's first-team players. One of the club captains, Jordi Alba, has now become the first in the side to weigh in on the situation during an interview with Traveling with Chester.
"Bad. It's not nice, especially when you've shared so much time with him in the locker room ," the left-back responded when asked about his reaction to the news.
Alba proceeded to avoid commenting on whether he believed that Alves was guilty or not, stating: "What I do suits me. I can't tell you what others do.
"I'm impacted by the news regardless of who it is. We're talking about a football player and a partner that we've had for many years."
He added that he had not spoken to the Brazilian as "these are sensitive issues for everyone".
Reports in Spain also suggested that 39-year-old split with his wife Joana Sanz last week after the Spanish model posted a heart-wrenching letter that appears to confirm their break-up.
