The Red Devils received an official letter from the world football governing body after their 2-0 defeat against Bayern Munich sanctioning key attacking duo Kahraba and Hussein El Shahat.
"FIFA's decision to ban El Shahaat and Kahraba from Al Ahly's next game is due to the fact that both players didn't follow the precautionary measures after our last game against FC Bayern Munich," the club statement read.
It's believed the incident FIFA has punished the players for was their post-match greeting of exiled Red Devils legend Mohamed Aboutrika who was in attendance in the stands - watching the club for the first time in nearly eight years.
Speaking ahead of the encounter Mosimane talked up the opportunity for the bronze medal: "Of course we aspire to win the bronze medal.
"We have to learn from Bayern and Al-Duhail encounters to win the remaining game. We had some negatives against Al-Duhail and Bayern we will aim to sort out, and there are positives that we will look to improve.
"The Palmeiras game will be tough especially that they are very good team and got great players. We have to prepare very well to achieve the goal of finishing third."
