Pitso Mosimane reveals conversation with Bayern Munich coach after Club World Cup clash

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed what out-going Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick told him after their FIFA Club World Cup battle.

After leading the Red Devils to their ninth CAF Champions League title, Mosimane was back in the Club World Cup for a second time having already previously gone to the tournament with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Al Ahly advanced to the semi-finals where they eventually lost 2-0 to the former European champions, but Mosimane reveals Flick told him that he had studied the Ahly players.

"I think any coach in the world believes in his chances to win any game. Did you believe that Chelsea would beat Manchester City in the Champions League final?," Mosimane said, as per KingFut.

"I knew there were huge differences between the two teams' players but a football game lasts for 90 minutes and we have to be smart. This team beat Barcelona 8-2 with Messi on the pitch.

"I didn't play an open game but our lines were close, if I did the opposite we would have been slammed with 10-0 but I was sorry we conceded two goals.

"Bayern coach, Hansi Flick, back then told me he studied Al Ahly players well and warned his players from conceding the equaliser on the break."
