Wydad Athletic Club 2025 FIFA Club World Cup opponents and a major English Premier League team have suffered setbacks due to the misconduct of their supporters.
According to reports from England, around 150 supporters of Chelsea and Manchester City have been prohibited from attending the forthcoming Club World Cup by the UK government after being deemed "troublemakers"
The prestigious global club event will take place from 14 June 2025 to 13 July this year in the United States of America. Mokwena's team has been placed in Group G, along with Manchester City, UAE club Al Ain, and the Italian giant Juventus.

It has been stated that fans who are under a banning order must turn in their passports to the police several days prior to the start of the tournament, as the government revised their prevention legislation on Wednesday.
"Many Manchester City and Chelsea fans will want to travel to support their teams in this summer's tournament and we want them all to do so safely and enjoyably," said Policing Minister Diana Johnson, as quoted by the Independent.
"But for the tiny minority of troublemakers who use football as an excuse for criminality, we will be applying the same proven preventative measures that we have successfully done for other overseas tournaments.

"We will continue to crack down on the hooligan minority, so that the vast majority can carry on attending football without trouble."
Reports have indicated that those who do not adhere to police instructions or attempt to travel will incur a substantial fine with no specified limit, or in extreme cases, could face imprisonment for up to six months.
Wydad will start their World Cup journey by facing Mokwena's idol Pep Guardiola's star studded City on June 18.
