Argentina star taunts Mbappe a second time

Argentina star Emiliano Martinez mocked Kylian Mbappe for the second time during the Albiceleste's 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy parade on Tuesday.

After securing the trophy on Sunday, the Aston Villa shot-stopper made the headlines when he was seen in the dressing room calling for a minute's silence for the French striker, who had scored a hat-trick past him in the final, during the team's celebrations.

That reaction came after Mbappe claimed a few months ago that European nations have an advantage over South American sides because their "football is not as advanced as Europe", who play "high-level matches all the time".

With Argentina taking to the streets of Buenos Aires for their trophy parade on Tuesday, Martinez was once again caught taunting Mbappe as he was seen on the open-top bus holding a baby doll with the Paris Saint-Germain star's face on it while stood next to the Frenchman's club teammate Lionel Messi.

Messi himself was later handed a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toy, a character that has been previously been compared to Mbappe, laughed at it and then threw it back into the crowd.

It appears that French star's old comments were not well received by the La Albiceleste squad.

The parade itself ended up being abandoned early due to safety concerns after a fan had a near-death experience when he jumped off a bridge to get on the bus but hit the back of the vehicle before falling to the ground.
