Brazil veteran Dani Alves has claimed that French superstar Kylian Mbappe does not understand his Paris Saint-Germain teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar.
PSG have got off their 2022/23 campaign off to a fantastic start, having qualified for the UEFA Champions League's round of 16 stage and also sitting top of the table in Ligue 1, five points ahead of second-placed Lens.

This is largely thanks to their formidable attacking trio, with Messi having 26 goal involvements in 19 outings, Neymar 27 goal contributions in 20 matches, and Mbappe contributing with 24 goals and assists in 20 games across all competitions so far in this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.
However, despite the trio's sensational output this season, former Les Parisiens star Alves, who is currently at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with the Brazil national team, has insisted that the France international does not play to the strengths of his South American attack partners.
"A great player must always know and understand who he plays with; your teammates enrich your qualities," the 39-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Mbappe is a phenomenon who has still not understood that those who play in attack with him are more phenomena than him.
"Neymar and Messi are unique: They see and do things that no one else sees or can do.
"You have to be smart to take advantage of the potential of Neymar and Messi; they are two footballing geniuses.
"Me, I think I handled the ball well, but when I played with Leo, I gave it to him. And if I play with Ney, I give it to him too.
"If Mbappe gives the ball to these two, he will score 150 goals."
