The Brazilian forward was shown his marching orders during PSG's 1-0 Ligue 1 defeat to title-rivals LOSC Lille on Saturday for shoving Portuguese defender Tiago Djalo, who himself was shown a second yellow card for his argumentative response.
Not content with leaving matters on the pitch, the duo continued their altercation down the tunnel and had to be separated by members from their respective camps when it appeared as though tempers were set to flare up.
Following the match, Djalo shed light on his clash with the former FC Barcelona star, who he accused of showing a lack of respect during their exchange.
"In the dressing room tunnel, he said things to me that I ignored. He even threw tape in my face," Djalo told Portuguese publication A Bola. What did he say? I don't know, but they weren't good things. It is part of the game, but it is what Neymar lacks, a little more respect. Neymar needs to have more respect.
"The media? They have a share of responsibility. They always end up favouring the most media-friendly players, who end up by being more protected."
This is the second time this season that Neymar has been shown a red card for PSG, having previously been dismissed for a clash with Alvaro Gonzalez during his side's tense affair with Olympique de Marseille earlier in the campaign.
