The French forward has officially joined Greek giants AEK Athens on a reported three-year contract until June 2027.

The 28-year-old left United after his contract had expired in June, bring an end to a nine-year spell at Old Trafford, during which he scored 90 goals and provided 47 assists in 317 appearances for the Red Devils.
His move to Greece comes after he attracted the attention of several clubs, including Lille, Atalanta, Olympique Marseille, Besiktas and, most recently, Flamengo in Brazil.
It is understood that a move to the South American nations was close, but the proposed deal collapsed due to Martial being unconvinced by the length of the contract offered.
Had he completed the switch to Flamengo, the Frenchman would have followed in the footsteps of his former Red Devils teammates Memphis Depay, who recently joined Brazilian outfit Corinthians as a free agent until December 2026.

Now, though, Martial will focus on helping AEK improve on their 2023/24 league campaign, in which they finished second behind PAOK, in a bid to get their hands on the Super League Greece title once again.
