Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has responded to Benni McCarthy's remarks about his coaching style.
Ten Hag is currently under pressure after the team's poor start to the season, which includes the current four-game winless run.
McCarthy, who left the club at the end of last season when his contract expired, claimed the Dutch tactician lacked 'fire and passion'.

The Red Devils tactician has since responded to South Africa's all-time leading scorer.
"I don't know what he means. In the last six years I've won eight trophies. I don't think you can do that without passion and fire," Ten Hag told TNT Sports via Express.
"I always motivate my team. When you win trophies, you can't do this without passion and desire.
"Everyone is different. But I don't know if it's taken out of context, if it's real what he said, because I know him as a different person."
The Red Devils will be back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park.
