Euro giants 'want' another Man Utd star after Greenwood loss

One of Europe's biggest clubs has now reportedly shifted its interest to another Manchester United star after missing out on Mason Greenwood.

The Englishman, who spent the 2023/24 campaign at Getafe where he netted 10 goals in 36 appearances, has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks.

However, Spanish club Valencia are now believed to have emerged as favourites to land Greenwood's signature, with the LALIGA side said to have agreed personal terms with the player, according to TEAMtalk.

Los Che have reportedly already submitted an initial £25 million (around R575 million) bid to United for his services, but this was rejected by the Red Devils, although the Spaniards are expected to launch another proposal soon.

As such, Juventus have now reportedly set their sights on another Old Trafford outcast in Jadon Sancho, who fell out with United manager Erik ten Hag in September last year, according to journalist Martin Blackburn.

It has been said that £40 million (R920 million) would need to be put on the table in order to land the winger's services.

That asking price, however, is said to be one the Serie A giants are unable to meet, but the Bianconeri are still hoping to make a deal happen by proposing a loan with an option to buy.

Sancho's previous employers Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be interested in signing the 24-year-old on a permanent basis, but are also struggling to meet United's valuation.

Sancho spent the second half of the 23/24 campaign on loan at the Bundesliga side, amassing three goals and three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions and impressing on their run to the UEFA Champions League final.

It is believed Red Devils co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen on selling the England international, but the billionaire is also said to be content with loaning the player out for another season if no concrete or adequate offer should arise.
