Ronaldo's ex-teammate to join him at new team?

With Cristiano Ronaldo said to be on the verge of joining his next team, one of the Portuguese star's former teammates could reportedly join him at the same club.

The 37-year-old is believed to be closing in on a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in a reported seven-year deal, the first two-and-a-half years of which would be as a player before serving as an ambassador for the country in their bid to host the 2030 World Cup alongside Egypt and Greece.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that the forward's medical at his new club would take place this week, while it has also been claimed that the Saudi giants are hoping to announce Ronaldo's signing on 1 January 2023.

Now, according to Spanish outlet Marca, Al Nassr are planning to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Sergio Ramos after Ronaldo joins the club.

The pair won a slew of trophies during their time together at Real, and could soon be reunited in the Middle East, with the centre-back's PSG contract set to expire at the end of this season.

The Saudi club's president and sporting director are said to soon be heading to Spain's capital, Madrid, where they will attempt to speed up talks with Ramos.

The Spaniard has been a vital cog in Christophe Galtier's side this season, featuring in 21 matches so far, but it remains uncertain as to whether or not the French giants will extend the 36-year-old's stay at the Parc des Princes.
