A former Manchester United star is now reportedly finally on the verge of completing an unexpected move after being out of the game for more than half a year.
Jesse Lingard, who has been without a club since departing Nottingham Forest in July 2023, is now closing in on a move to South Korean club FC Seoul, according to Sky Sports.

The 31-year-old is believed to have verbally agreed a two-year deal with an option to extend for a further year.
Lingard is reported to have had offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey too, but opted for the South Korean club because it was, to him, the most intriguing opportunity.
The former West Ham United player is also believed to have come close to joining Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq in October after spending a month training with them but that deal collapsed.
Consequently, Lingard parted ways with his agents after growing frustrated with moves not materialising following his departure from the Tricky Trees.
The midfielder's last professional appearance came in April last year, in Forest's 2-0 defeat to United.
During his 12-month spell at the City Ground, Lingard made 20 appearances, but contributed with just two goals and two assists.
Prior to joining the Tricky Trees, he spent six months on loan at West Ham, during which he netted nine goals and provided five assists in 16 matches.

The longest period spent at a club in his career, however, was at the Red Devils, for whom he made 232 first team appearances after being promoted from United's youth academy.
