Incoming Man Utd boss makes big admission after thrashing Man City

Incoming Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has made a big admission about the English giants after thrashing Manchester City.

The Portuguese tactician masterminded a 4-1 victory over the Sky Blues in a UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday night, with Sporting CP maintaining their unbeaten run in the continental competition.

The coach is set to officially take charge of the Red Devils from 11 November, but, speaking after the game, the 39-year-old played down the result.

With the Green and Whites having developed a distinct style of play under their current manager, he stated that it would not necessarily carry over to his new club.

"What I can tell you is that this doesn't mean anything in particular - don't take anything from this," he said per The London Standard.

"We cannot transport one reality to another. Manchester United cannot play the way we play and we will have to adapt.

"It will be fun, very fun, and I'm ready for the challenge."

The tactician's final game in charge of Sporting will be against his former side SC Braga in a Liga Portugal encounter on Sunday.

His job at Old Trafford, however, is set to be a challenging one as the Red Devils currently find themselves 13th on the table with 12 points, after winning just three of their 10 matches so far.
