Benni McCarthy has once again come in for praise from a Manchester United star, despite the team's stuttering start to the campaign.
The Red Devils have enjoyed mixed results since the South African's arrival as part of Erik ten Hag's technical team in July 2022.

The former FC Porto star, who is now the Red Devils' forwards coach, most notably helped Marcus Rashford improve his output, with the Englishman recording his highest scoring return last season with 30 goals in 50 games.
The ex-Cape Town City boss has also since made history with the club, having being part of the team that ended a six-year trophy drought following their triumph in the 2022/23 Carabao Cup.
Now, while the team has struggled in the new campaign, seeing themselves in 10th place in the Premier League and yet to win a match in this season's UEFA Champions League following their shock loss to Galatasaray on Tuesday night, United returnee Jonny Evans has revealed that he has also benefited from McCarthy's influence, despite being a defender and not a forward.
The Northern Ireland international signed a short-term, one-year deal with the club in August after being brought back to train with the side during pre-season.
The 35-year-old has since provided an attacking threat for United, registering one assist in the first three games of his second spell with the team, while he also had a goal disallowed against Burnley, and saw a headed effort being saved by Crystal Palace's Sam Johnstone, and Evans has insisted it is McCarthy who is to thank for this.
"I suppose I have to give credit to Benni [McCarthy]," he told MUTV.
"Over pre-season, when I wasn't able to join in because of numbers, we'd do finishing sessions with Benni McCarthy and a few younger lads. So I suppose I can give Benni a bit of credit!
"I was gutted the other night with Sam [Johnstone] making the save, and I said to him straight after the game that he probably wasn't aware at the time that it was my header he saved, but for me, scoring at the Stretford End would have been something to top off."
