It has been claimed that Manchester United's players could now have a big influence on Mason Greenwood's fate at Old Trafford.
The Greenwood saga appears to be nowhere near reaching its conclusion following United's decision to open an internal investigation after the charges of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour against the player were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service at the beginning of February.

The court said it is their "duty to stop the case" following the "withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light", according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old remains suspended by the club and it is understood that the Red Devils are carefully considering a course of action regarding the matter, especially as they also face pressure from their sponsors as well as some of the United Kingdom's women's rights organisations.
It is believed there is no possibility that Greenwood will return to the pitch this season, while it is also being considered if he should be sold in the next window or allowed to return to the fold in the 2023/24 season. Another alternative is to terminate his contract at the end of the campaign and pay him out the remaining 27 months of the deal.
A new development in the saga has now emerged, with ESPN reporting that United will approach both their men's and women's teams for their opinions on whether or not the marksman should be reintegrated into the squad.
The report suggests there while there is no "collective view" that has been brought forward by the respective squads, some individuals in both sides are concerned about the player potentially returning to the men's team.
