Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has criticised the way Real Madrid play following Los Rojiblancos' bitter derby defeat on Sunday.
Real claimed the bragging rights over their city rivals on the weekend after goals by Rodrygo and Federico Valverde secured a 2-1 win for the reigning LaLiga champions, while Mario Hermoso got a consolation strike for the home side at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

The victory sees Los Blancos maintain a strong grip at the top of the table after six wins in six matches, while they also remain the only team in Europe's top five leagues to have won all their games across all competitions so far.
Atletico boss Simeone did have some praise for his men's opponents on the night, but bemoaned the fact that his side were criticised for the defence-oriented approach he feels Real utilised in the fixture.
"To see a team that defends low and goes on the counter-attack like that, it reminds me of the team we had with [Diego] Costa, when they criticised us back then," the Rojiblancos manager said.

"They have a very good direct game, a quick transition from defence to attack, forcefulness, orderly defence, they play well, take advantage of their chances.
"It is a great job by the Madrid coach. They counter-attack with significant speed and have obvious talent."
