With the news that new centre-back Yoro is set to be out for the next three months due to injury, it has now been claimed the Premier League giants have submitted a formal offer for Real defender Martinez, which is thought to have ruffled manager Carlo Ancelotti's feathers in a big way.
The Italian tactician is said to be angered at the possibility of losing the young centre-back, and is not ready to let him go as he feels the starlet will play an integral role for the club in the near future.
It has been further suggested that the former Everton boss has requested the LALIGA giants to do "everything possible" to retain the teenage defender.
While reports suggest that Martinez dreams of continuing his career at the Santiago Bernabeu and following in the footsteps of his idol Sergio Ramos, it is claimed that pressure from the Manchester club could intensify, forcing Real into making a "crucial decision".
